 and Book Signing Ceremony. John Ross is the foremost chronicler of Mexico's 
 indigenous Zapatista rebels. In The War Against Oblivion: Zapatista 
 Chronicles 1994-2000 and in his current book, "Making Another World 
 Possible: Zapatista Chronicles, 2000-2006" Ross recounts the continuing 
 efforts of the Zapatistas to protect their rebellion through the 
 establishment of indigenous, consensus based, self governing communities in 
 Zapatista controlled territories. John Ross is a Latin American 
 correspondent who regularly contributes to the Los Angeles Weekly and San 
 Francisco Bay Guardian. His 2005 book, "Murdered by Capitalism: A Memoir of 
 150 Years of Life and Death on the American Left" was a San Francisco 
 Chronicle Book of the Year and won the Upton Sinclair award. A novelist, 
 Tonatiuh's People: a Novel of the Mexican Cataclysm and poet, jazzmexico as 
 well as a social activist, John Ross "is a new John Reed covering a new 
 Mexican revolution" — La Jornada.\n\nParking is free. Vegan food and
