 October 17 WILPF meeting to \ngain the information residents need to make 
 an informed decision about \ndesalination in our area. UCSC Professor Brent 
 Haddad, an expert on water \npolicy and management,  will give an overview 
 of desalination.  Then Aldo \nGiacchino, Chair of the Executive Committee 
 of the local chapter of the \nSierra Club,  and Mike Rotkin, Santa Cruz 
 city councilmember, will debate \nabout the pros and cons of 
 desalination.\n\n7 pm, Tuesday October 17 at the Quaker Meeting House, 225
