DESCRIPTION:On Saturday, September 9th please join the Bay Area Chapter of the 
 Nonviolent Peaceforce in honoring the 100th Anniversary of Gandhi's 
 nonviolence.  We will be asking people to make a resolution to break the 
 cycle of violence by using nonviolence, similarly to what Gandhi asked of 
 his community back on September 11, 1906. (See  for lots of background 
 information.)\n\nWe will be gathering to have a potluck picnic at 1051 
 Bella Vista Avenue in Oakland from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a short 
 presentation around 3:30 p.m.  There will be an opportunity to sign a 
 Resolution that will be delivered to the United Nations later in the fall 
 to urge them to explore unarmed peacekeeping as an alternative to armed
