DESCRIPTION:Sign Up Now!   Fall 2006 BSS 275: California: The Promise vs. the Reality 
 in the 2006 Election. Wed. 7:15-8:55 pm Humanities  Auditorium, Rm. 133. 2 
 units (CR/NC).\n\nThis year’s interdisciplinary BSS 275 course/public 
 lecture series intended to help the campus community and the public better 
 understand contemporary social and public policy issues will focus on the 
 2006 Election in California.  The course will use the election of the 
 Governor along with the 2006 campaign issues and the California 
 congressional races to examine California’s promise, her current reality 
 and the implications of both for California’s future in a national and 
 global context.  \n\nThe course features weekly  panels of SFSU faculty 
 experts speaking about California history and politics, the electoral 
 process and the campaign issues and is followed by audience discussion.

 Community Event at Jack Adams Hall, Cesar Chavez Student Center to watch 
 Election Returns on a Big Screen TV and hear real-time  analysis from SFSU
