 Iraq war, an officer in the U.S.\nmilitary will be publicly refusing orders 
 and brought to court-martial\nthis summer. On Wednesday, June 7th,Lt. Ehren 
 Watada came out publicly\nagainst the war and occupation and this week he 
 will officially refuse\ndeployment to Iraq.\n\nTo demonstrate our 
 solidarity, we will participate in a\nNational Day of Action on Tuesday 
 June 27th to support Ehren as\nhe officially resists deployment. This is 
 only the first\nstep to building for mass national actions around the Court 
 Martial days, \nwhich will likely be in August. This campaign\nof action 
 holds the potential to renew and re-energize\nour struggle from within the 
 U.S. to end the occupation of Iraq,\nand strengthen grassroots movements 
 for justice and peace.\nAdditionally, a vigorous support movement is 
 Ehren’s\nbest defense against violations of his civil rights by 
 the\nmilitary, including the possibility  of forced deployment.\n\nA war 
 can end when the soldiers choose to stop fighting it,” says\nEhren in the 
 spirit of the GI resistance movement that played a major role in \nending 
 the Vietnam War, along with civilian support. We need YOU to be \npart of 
 making this movement rise again!
