DESCRIPTION:Report Back from Palestine/Israel;\n\nLisa Nessan and George Cadman will be
jointly presenting a talk on their experiences in Palestine/Israel while
working with the International Solidarity Movement. The ISM is a
Palestinian-led movement committed to resisting the Israeli occupation of
Palestinian land using nonviolent, direct-action methods and principles.
Founded by a small group of activists in August, 2001, ISM aims to support
and strengthen the Palestinian popular resistance by providing the
Palestinian people with two resources, international protection and a voice
with which to nonviolently resist an overwhelming military occupation
force.\n \nLisa Nessan is a Jewish American activist and
photographer who has lived in the West Bank much of the last three years.
She supports Palestinian and Israeli efforts to end the Israeli Occupation
of Palestine through nonviolent direct action. Lisa has recently returned
from Palestine and will present some of her photos of the Israeli
separation barrier and its effect on the lives of Palestinians. \n
\nGeorge Cadman has hosted "Peace Talks", a political talk show on Free
Radio Santa Cruz, for the last seven years. She has conducted many
interviews with professors, authors, journalists and peace activists on the
conflict in Palestine/Israel. George and her sister traveled to
Palestine/Israel last November to volunteer with the International
Solidarity Movement for three weeks. She will be showing her photos and
describing her experiences there.\n\nFor More Information:\n You may
