DESCRIPTION:San Francisco Bay View Correspondent Bob Nichols is a long-\ntime activist 
 against the illegal use of radiological weapons. They\nwere given the name 
 DU (depleted uranium) by the military in the\n'40s in an attempt to cover 
 up their true destructiveness. Mr. Nichols\nactually worked at a munitions 
 factory before becoming a journalist,\nand he has researched and written 
 about them for years. He is currently\nwriting a book based on 15 years of 
 nuclear war in Central Asia. For\nhis writings he is the recipient of the 
 Project Censored Award and he\nfrequently teams up with famed 
 scientist/whistleblower Leuren Moret \nand several other activists to speak 
 about the global horrors of the \nillegal use of these evil weapons.\n\nHe
