DESCRIPTION:On Saturday, April 26, the San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band – the 
 first openly gay music group in the world – celebrates its 25th 
 anniversary with a historic concert at Everett Middle School Auditorium, 
 the site of the Band’s first concert in 1978. Conducted by Artistic 
 Director Jadine Louie, the celebration features a sneak preview of a 
 documentary on the Band’s history; an archival multi-media display; a 
 reunion performance by Band alumni; a sing-along led by Trauma Flintstone; 
 presentations by Jose Sarria, Donna Sachet, and the Gay Men’s Chorus of 
 San Francisco, fabulous Hawaiian vacation raffle; and some of the flashiest 
 music written for modern band. The Beat Goes On takes place 7 pm, Saturday, 
 April 26 at Historic Everett Middle School Auditorium, 450 Church Street in 
 San Francisco. Tickets: $20 general admission/$15 children, seniors &
