 Freedom), an award-winning documentary about the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation 
 War. It explores the impact of cultural identity on the liberation war, 
 where music and song provided a source of inspiration to the freedom 
 fighters and a spiritual bond for the emerging Bengali nation.\n\nThe 
 Progressive Bengali Network is a new group of left, progressive, and 
 radical Bengalis from the Bay Area trying to bridge the borders between the 
 many Bengals -- East and West, geographic and diasporic. We're working to 
 build an alternative space for arts, activism, and community
