Bob Wright, senior counsel at Friends of the River points to deep, revealed the deep, terminal flaws in the Delta Tunnels environmental review. “The EPA gave the Delta Tunnels RDEIR/SDEIS a failing grade. The ball is in the State Water Board’s court. They can either do a legitimate environmental review or tell Reclamation & DWR they must do so. The inadequate environmental review for the Delta Tunnels is a defect that can only be cured by doing an adequate review," said Wright. Phot...

The Daily Star Letters To The Editor The tale of refugees They have to sell their land and their house and borrow heavily to pay the human traffickers. text What "Orwellian" Really Means - by Noah Tavlin
The population is inundated with propaganda. Labor camps are called joy camps. With cognitive dissonance, individuals are left completely dependent on the state. Orwell urged us to protect our language in a world where war is slavery and freedom is peace.

text Casino Capitalism and Profit Maximization - by Gunter Grzega and Sven Hergovich
In the 1960s the average holding time for stocks was 10 years. Now the holding time is not 9 months but 22 seconds. Like shareholder value, profit maximization leads to exploding inequality and the waster of resources. States were weakened by extensive tax cuts. How can the economy serve long-term necessities (e.g. affordable housing, education and health care) and not only short-term profit maximization?

video Video of murder of Laquan McDonald by Chicago cop Jason Van Dyke (video/mp4 16.0MB) - by FTP
Chicago police just released the dashcam video of their own Jason Van Dyke shooting and killing Laquan McDonald on October 20, 2014. 17-year-old Laquan was shot 16 times, with almost all of the shots fired after he already hit the ground. The video contradicts the original police claims that Laquan lunged at officers with a knife. The lying pigs described the killing as a clear-cut case of self-defense.

During the process, TBSC created an online petition form its members could use to send a form letter automatically to t...
