image Save U.S. Rainforest - Deadline Nov. 28 to comment re WA State Olympic Peninsula 120_forest-park.jpg original image ( 1002x668) - by Marilyn
The last remaining rain forest in the US is ringed by the Olympic National Forest. The US Navy wants to make the area the "Pacific Northwest Electromagnetic Warfare Range" (PNEWR). The deadline to do something to save this precious fragile place is coming soon. This is a big, permanent, expanding, military project that will change the fragile Peninsula forever. It will likely be a prototype for militarizing more and more National Forests and Parks. We need real wilderness, not more militariz...

text Juncker y Rousseau - by Carlos Ortiz de Zárate

That's a good thing, but it doesn't matter if California's two Senators are unwilling to stand up to the San Joaquin Valley Congressmen. Somebody has to show some courage."

SB 4 and Seismic Activity in the Vicinity of Hydraulic Fracturing Subseismic activity of magnitude 2.7 - That's the operator's reponsibility threshold. Under the 'good' neighbor notification and well monitoring protocols, the public can ascertain the timeframe of the operations and monitor the area at the CISN for changes and trends.
