Olive Harvest Delegation Arrives in Israel/Palestine
The purpose of this delegation, the 20th Interfaith Peace-Builders delegation since 2001, is to educate North American citizens about the region and deepen their understanding of its conflicts. This delegation also marks the first collaboration between Interfaith Peace-Builders and the American Friends Service Committee. Foreigners, journalists threatened in Oaxaca
One week after Brad Will´s death and five days after the military occupation of Oaxaca, the climate has worsened for foreigners, journalists, and indymedia correspondents. The Federal Government is trying to consolidate it´s power in Oaxaca, attacking the University Campus (a violation of its guaranteed autonomy) in order to remove its radio station from the air (at 1470 AM), which broadcasts the words of teachers, students, workers, the indigenous, and others the Mexican government wants silenced....

SOLIDARITY WITH THE STRUGGLE OF THE PEOPLE OF OAXACA!
The uprising of the Oaxacan people continues on its 158th day. It started with a strike of the teachers on 22 May and continued with the occupation of the provincial institutions, expulsion of the local state forces of the province, formation of the Popular Assembly of the People of Oaxaca (APPO) and turning of it into the organ of local power.
The attacks, imprisonments and massacres of the police forces of the federal state and the province are not able to stop the resistance in Oaxaca....

Alexander Wants Free Education By 2009
The plan Alexander is presenting will unfold over the next three years; first, students will receive a 35 percent reduction in college tuition fees by 2007, by 2008 students will receive an additional 20 percent reduction on fees, and by 2009 all state colleges and universities will offer free education....
