SF Bd of Supervisors v. Homeless; Bd Fails to Stop Academy of Art
The Board of Supervisors voted 8 to 3 on Jan 8 to extend the ban on sleeping and cooking without a permit in the park. Voting No were Chris Daly, Tom Ammiano and Gerardo Sandoval. Apparently, Green Party member and former cop, Ross Mirkarimi, voted for this obvious anti-homeless measure. Meanwhile, the Academy of Art is allowed to take over all of our affordable housing by ignoring building conversion permit procedures....
