(Berkeley City) Council Threatened With Med Pot Initiative
Worthington’s proposal on next week’s council agenda asks the council to adopt the Proposition 215 “Implementation Plan” which would, among other things, allow medical cannabis users in the city to increase the number of personal marijuana plants in their possession from 10 to 72. That is the same number as is currently allowed in Oakland....

State Drug Agents Shoot and Kill Man -- the Wrong Man -- in San Jose
In San Jose, state drug agents killed a man in a case of mistaken identity Tuesday.
Agents from the state bureau of narcotics chased a man they believed was an armed parolee after a stake out at a home on the 800 block of North 14th St. Agents caught up with the man, there was a gun battle, and the man was hit.
