In his State of the Union address, President Bush warned that North Korea, Iran, and Iraq "constitute an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world" and that "by seeking weapons of mass destruction, these regimes pose a grave and growing danger." Interestingly enough, the president did not make a single direct reference either to al Qaeda or Osama bin Laden....

Labor View: Europe Wins Olympics
Europe won the 2002 Winter Olympic Games; the United States was a distant second. The Olympics represent the collective wealth of the workers of the world which allows some people to spend their time worrying about figure skating routines. Because labor is better organized in Europe, it spends more on social services and less on the military, and has the championship at the Olympics and the better overall health and welfare of its people to show for it....
