bad faith and had, in fact, only thought about making Aliyah after signing the
agreement to leave on the 17th. Gaby (attorney) thinks it is important that people fax the Minister of Interior, preferably by
Sunday morning but after is still good....

Many supporters in the courtroom for the pretrial hearing. Judge issued continuance for motions to demur and dismiss for vindicative prosecution until February 6th 2pm. Arraignment set for March 5th and trial set for March 8th....

Pictures From Protest Against Oakland School Closures
On Thursday January 8th, several hundred students, parents and teachers gathered at the Oakland Public Schools Administration building for a hearing on Oakland school closures. As dozens rallied outside, those trying to get in were met with the news that there might not be space inside since a small room was chosen for the public forum (despite the School District's hiring of extra security guards since they knew there would be many people attending)....
