San Francisco, California - A new student organization called Students for Genital Integrity was organized last month at San Francisco State University. Students for Genital Integrity is the first student organization in the country specifically focused on ending all forms of genital cutting of children, including male circumcision (or MGM), female circumcision (or FGM), and sex reassignment surgery on intersex children (IGM). UC protesters charges: dropped or dismissed?
All 79 demonstrators arrested in the boisterous April 9 pro-Palestinian sit-in at Wheeler Hall on the University of California, Berkeley, campus have paid fines to settle the charges against them. Or did they pay court costs of $3,000 to have the charges dismissed? Defense and the prosecuting attorneys disagree on the specifics....
