textUsing administrative power to sabotage the IMC Palestine by IMC
This is NOT an IMC and it is a disgrace to Indymedia and its Principles of Unity. Currently there is a group that has formed organically of people from the old group and new members from all over the Bethlehem district. They wish to proceed with the IMC project but are trying to establish their policies concretely. It is the general feeling in the community that Bilal would like to start some kind of seperate political organisation. This is perfectly acceptable but in doing so he is using his...

textOde to Cynthia by Israel Shamir
Things must be bad indeed if a woman steps forward to the line of fire. Nature arranged that a woman does not court danger unless her land and her folks are in real trouble. But when she does, she teaches men a lesson of manly behaviour....

textGa. Newcomer Turns to Jews To Oust Rep. McKinney's Dad by ELI KINTISCH, FORWARD STAFF
ATLANTA — After mounting a successful campaign to encourage thousands of Republican voters to oust Rep. Cynthia McKinney in last week's Democratic primary, a small group of Atlanta-area political operatives are hoping for Jewish backing in their bid to unseat her father from his seat in the Georgia State House....

textHow Israel Make the Desert Bloom by As Usual, By Stealing
Like a feudal lord’s castle—or a West Bank settlement—the village is built on a hill. The rocky hill and the land on which the village is built stands in sharp contrast to the fertile Lebanese soil it borders. Apparently the disparity began to get to the Israelis. About a year ago—in full view of the U.N. troops s...

textZionists Kill 14-15 year old boys for their organs by Mark Schneider
This was ignored by the US media despite attempts by justice workers to get it out: "Yet as I typed out the press release that would be faxed to dozens of American media, I knew no American newspaper or TV station back home would read this press release, care and actually do a story. And no one did. "...

textWhat Is Israel Hiding? by Joshua Ruebner and Khalid Turaani
Spineless politicians who fall over themselves to see who can give Israel more "aid" are barred from entering the West Bank by Israel. The border guard threatened to come to blows with them....

textWar is Peace by Noam Chomsky
Excerpted from The Fateful Triangle. Americans are typically very ignorant of recent history in the Middle East (except for all the propaganda we are given). Chomsky cuts through some of this with eye-opening analysis. Chomsky is by the way one of the very few people who saw the Israeli invasion of Lebanon as a moral issue while most of the rest of the left and liberals (who are usually the most decent members of society) maintained a DEAFENING silence....

textI think I know why most people in this country by side with Israel rather than the Palestinians
Weren't we taught in Elementary school that TAKING SIDES in a conflict was never a good idea. Why has our government (or media for that matter) not followed this simple principle. Surely it would have saved us a great deal of heartache vis a vis the Middle East conflict. Why is it in our interest (or even fair) to arm one side of this conflict to the hilt making enemies with the other side....

textAnti-Semitism is being charged so often, that it is becoming meaningless by Alexnder Cockburn
Anti-Semitism has become like a flit gun to squirt at every inconvenient fly on the window-pane... used mostly to whack critics of the disgusting conduct of successive Israeli governments and security forces and settlers towards the Palestinians... the term Anti-Semitism [is used] to attack people outraged by the way McKinney and Hilliard were driven from Congress, and by the horrible persecution of Palestinians in Israel. It's a debauch of a term that once meant something awful, a term that ...

textThe Zionist Lobby and American Foreign Policy by Gilad Atzmon
...it is hardly surprising to discover that the Jewish state and Zionists lobbies are fairly active behind the scenes. It all makes far more sense when you find out that America's current divorce from humanism is closely associated with Israeli interests. A brief study of the history of Israel will reveal that from its very early days Zionism specialised in tracing dark political motivations and interests in order to abuse them to the very limit. Zionism is a very singular political method ai...

textWho Started the 1967 Arab-Israeli War and the Invasion of Lebanon by Noam Chomsky
In 1967, Israel launched the war. Now you could say it was a legitimate pre-emptive strike if you like, but there is just no question that Israel attacked. Okay? That is not even a matter of debate. As for 1973, no, Israel was not attacked. What was attacked was Israeli occupied territory. Egypt attacked Egyptian territory that was held by Israel under the conditions that I described, after Israel refused a peace treaty. The fact of the matter is, there is not one case in which Isr...

textBay Aryan Resistance by Jim Goad
San Francisco constantly struggles with itself to solve the question of how many ***holes it's possible to fit into a square mile. How many cybersissies can you cram into a phone booth? How many Gaia-peddling belly-floppers? How many self-absorbed monkish Nerf balls of ideological irrelevance? How many dayglo lemon-meringue fashion tarantulas? How many gaunt, cellophane-wrapped nipple-tweakers? How many prune-twatted hipster debutantes?...

textNew York Times' Pro-Israeli Bias by Kathleen Kristison
Friedman likes to blame Arafat for "provoking the Israelis into brutalizing Palestinians" and for provoking the "ritual sacrifice" of Palestinian children: "The Palestinians seem to have no qualms about putting up their youths to be shot at." He adds that Israelis seem to have no qualms about shooting at Palestinians, but it's clear that in his book the basic fault lies with the Palestinians....

textIsrael is the Tail that Wags the Dog by michael neumann
A lot of people have heard the phrase "the tail that wags the dog," but very few know where this came from. It comes from Arab journalists back in the '70s in describing the way the US does whatever Israel wants....
