I WAS JUST CITED WITH THE Unconstitutional Parking Lot Ordinance JIM CROW LAW
I have been protesting the parking lot ordinance down town because it goes against our constitutional rights. I have filmed encounters and projected on fridays downtown, last night, despite our right to peaceably assemble, I was given a citation for "loitering" -We filmed and projected the police live, and will have footage up soon....

Cruz Molina's Judicial Review Canceled at Last Minute by UCSC
On March 13th, UC Santa Cruz canceled their judicial review hearing against Cruz Molina just before it was set to begin, off-campus, at the UCSC Inn. Cruz and David Benterou are UCSC freshman targeted for allegedly having the tree-sitters as their "guests" on the morning of November 7th, 2007. Supporters of Cruz and David organized a "Student Justice Teach-In" on March 6th. They assert that UCSC is trying to scapegoat Cruz and David by holding them responsible for all past, present and future...

The Coonerty-Mathews City Council voted down 6-1 any lowering of the $800+ fines for a first offense on the "Unruly Assemblies" law, originally championed by Mike Rotkin back in 2005. "Unruly Party" Ordinance coming up for amendment Tuesday evening at City Council
Council member Rotkin's "Unruly Assemblies" ordinance, the "Party at Your Peril" law, comes up for modification on March 11th at the evening city council meeting. Coonerty and Rotkin are moving to liberalize the ordinance with four changes.
