ALERT: National Geographic romanticizes Iditarod dog torture
National Geographic Channel aired its new 60 minute movie "Dare to Explore" "Expeditions from the Edge: Iditarod" in May and will air it again. This film is monstrous hype carefully constructed to turn animal abusing Iditarod mushers into romanticized heroes. Please help by asking Geographic, the show's producers and advertisers to tell the truth about the cruelties the dogs endure....

Guilty plea from rodeo man in flouting of drinking-water law
This should make everyone's day. Did mine! Not mentioned in the article is the fact that Mr. Cervi is one of the biggest and most respected names in all of professional rodeo. He recently resigned from the board of the Colorado-based Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in the wake of this debacle. Reportedly, the Environmental Protection Agency has been on his trail for nearly five years. I spoke with the EPA's Denver office (Region 8, I think it is) about this case. Mr.

Follow-up Protest of UCSF's Experiments on Dogs, May 25th
IDA co-sponsored a protest at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) to turn a bright spotlight on the University's determination to conduct cruel and painful heart experiments on hundreds of dogs. Several advocates brought their dogs to remind people that the animals used in experiments are living beings with feelings and personalities.
