Dahr Jamail In Iraq: Trophy Hunting?
Yesterday, before the usual morning gunfire in the streets which has become my morning alarm clock, Abu Talat phones me. There is very heavy fighting over in al-Adhamiya. Two giant explosions occurred around 6:15am, followed by mortar blasts, then constant, heavy gun battles that went on into late morning.
The Hamid al-Alwan mosque, a small Shia mosque in the predominantly Sunni area of Adhamiya had been hit with a car bomb....

t quarter to four this morning the Hamash family building was blown up by the Israeli Army. At least 12 army jeeps invaded Dheisheh refugee camp and surrounded the families' homes, as well as the Ibdaa Cultural Center kindergarten which shares the same building. The soliders ordered Musa, Aziz and Ahmed Hamash and their families outside into the damp and chilly morning air....

US probes Iraq abuse pictures
The pictures were handed over to officials by an Associated Press news agency reporter who found them on a commercial photo-sharing website.
The photographs, posted by a woman who said her husband brought them home from Iraq, appear to show the aftermath of raids on civilian homes, the Associated Press reported....
