Beloved Haitian Mayor Continues to Serve his Community from Hiding
Jean Charles Moise grew up in Milot, a rural town on the outskirts of Cap Haitien, Haiti. He was elected mayor in 1995 at the age of 27 by an overwhelming 85% of the vote and was re-elected for a second term in 2000.
