The funeral of Tookie Williams, cofounder of the Crips
Stanley Tookie Williams, one of the founders of the Crips, was murdered by way of the death penalty's lethal injection, by the state of California, under the governance of Arnold Schwarzenegger, on Dec. 13 '05, at San Quentin Concentration Camp on the shore of San Francisco Bay. He had been convicted of multiple murders on no evidence but the testimony of a police informant, who was given a more lenient sentence after he lied to convict Tookie Williams....

A New Orleans man, described by relatives as mentally ill, was gunned down by police on Monday. Anthony Hayes, 38, was killed after allegedly lunging at police with a three-inch blade.
