Female Valedictorian Speaks Out For Abortion
The movement is back! Attacking women's right to abortion is attacking the 51% of the population that is female. At a Dallas, TX high school graduation, a female high school valedictorian, Paxton Smith, scrapped her approved speech and gave an outstanding pro-abortion speech. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrfe27VDuRA&t=283s Her speech is at 4:48...

Fighting the "Immigrant Threat"
Milkman shows how the flux of low-wage immigrants into the U.S. workforce in recent decades is “not the cause either of the massive economic restructuring that began in the 1970s or the accompanying growth of economic inequality and labor degradation,” but precisely a consequence of these developments....

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg 1933-2020
By now, we have seen the TV tributes and read the many thoughts on the Internet regarding Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg who died today at age 87. My favorite is from the ACLU at https://www.aclu.org/news/civil-liberties/in-memory-of-justice-ruth-bader-ginsburg-1933-2020/?initms_aff=nat&initms_chan=soc&utm_medium=soc&initms=200919_rbg_obit_tw&utm_source=tw&utm_campaign=rbg&utm_content=200919_obit&ms_aff=nat&ms_chan=soc&ms=200919_rbg_obit_tw...

Finnish Prime Minister Marin Calls for a 4-Day-Week and 6-Hour-Day for Her Country
“A four-day work week, a six-hour workday. Why couldn’t it be the next step? Is eight hours really the ultimate truth? I believe people deserve to spend more time with their families, loved ones, hobbies and other aspects of life, such as culture. This could be the next step for us in working life.”...

Jan 18, 2020 March for Free Abortion on Demand
The anti-abortion banners are on the poles in San Francisco on Market Street, starting at the foot of Market outside the Hyatt Regency. In this presidential election year, we need every single person who supports the right to abortion at our pro-abortion march on January 18, 2020 starting at 11 a.m. at the Civic Center celebrating the 1973 Supreme Court decision, Roe v Wade, legalizing abortion in the USA, so that our march is literally not just sidewalk to sidewalk as it usually is, but wal...

Abortion Bans; S.F. Anti-Abortion Marches; Free Abortion on Demand
As the United States gets ready to join the backward countries of the world with a ban on abortion, we must ask, how did we get to this point? Why have the Democrats been promoting anti-abortion candidates? How did at least 5 anti-abortion Supreme Court justices get confirmed? Why didn’t Democrat Obama who had a Democratic majority Congress in both houses in his first two years sign a law legalizing abortion so we would not have to depend on a pro-abortion majority in the Supreme Court? W...

S.F. Women's March, 1/19/19
For the third year in a row, San Francisco had a very large women’s march on 1/19/19, a weekend when we celebrate 46 years since Roe v Wade legalized abortion in the US, with perhaps 100,000 people, wide enough to take up all lanes on Market Street, and long enough to go beyond 1 hour to pass a given point. It was a warm, sunny 65 degree day, a welcome change from the constant rain earlier in the week....

800,000 Workers Unpaid by US Govt for Trump's Palm-Greasing Border Wall
We are now witnessing American "democracy" in action with an illegal, fascist, anti-labor, anti-abortion president forcing the government shut down as of 12/22/18, suspending the pay of at least 800,000 workers indefinitely, right before a major Christian holiday which most celebrate so that the president can blackmail Congress to give him $5.7 billion for a worthless border wall so he can reward his organized crime construction company cronies and we can be sure he will benefit, one way or a...

#TimesUp 4 C.T. Weber
Charges of sexual assault and sexual harassment have been brought against Sacramento based candidate for California Secretary of State, C.T. Weber. Weber is the only Peace and Freedom Party candidate in this race and like all other third party candidates will not go beyond the June 2018 primary because of the Top Two restrictions on voters' choices. Weber is also facing intense criticism for posing for photographs while wearing a Nazi Party uniform....

1/20/18 SF Women's March: A Glorious Day
On a beautiful, 55 degree sunny day on January 20, 2018, San Francisco marked the 1 year anniversary with tens of thousands of protesters of an utterly reactionary, anti-women, racist, anti-immigrant, anti-labor, pro-war profoundly stupid and ignorant presidency of a former Democrat, only recently Republican, former TV host, Donald Trump, illegally put in office by tossing the black vote in contested states, the same as the selection of his Republican predecessor, George Bush, Jr., in 2000 an...
