There are important write-ups on all the local measures and state props. Having been on the voter guide committee this time, I can tell you that a lot of people did in depth research - fielding tons of large interviews from many candidates for offices like school boards, city councils, BART boards, etc. It's not a thrilling job. I had to go through a state prop in all it's glory and read the fine print. If average people had to do that, no one would vote for *any* of these. The ugly work...
