Request To Put Speed Limits On All Sections Of The Autobahn Network In Germany Petition
After seeing a TV commercial of a leading German car manufacturer touting its overdesigned windshield wipers that they claim could handle driving on the Autobahn in the rain, and after finding the specs for a 200hp, 30mpg car on a different German car manufacturer's website (ie the technology for super mpg cars is on today's showroom floor, but is being wasted by building muscle cars with ever more hp instead of slimming down these engines and cars to get higher mpg), I wrote this petition....

Australia: Bans on Genetically Modified Crops lifted Despite Wide Opposition
Bans on commercial growing of genetically-modified (GM) canola crops have been lifted by the Governments of two Australian states - New South Wales and Victoria - despite pleas from the Western Australian and Tasmanian Governments, and over 250 companies in the food business to maintain the moratorium, and Japanese food buyers urging continuation of the ban in October. The moratorium on GM canola will be lifted from February/March 2008....
