No to Racism and War! - by Attac and Marx21
We must give good and equal chances to youth for education and training instead of hate campaigns and general suspicion. The left must urge welcoming refugees and opening borders instead of allowing people to drown in the Mediterranean. The Islamic State would not exist without the western wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and now in Syria. The "war on terror" has taken the lives of more than a million persons and destroyed whole societies. Whoever wants to fight IS must battle against the imperi...

Understanding ISIS - Who or What is it? Why does it exist? What does it accomplish? - by Zahir Ebrahim, Project Humanbeingsfirst.org
The new militant “Islamic State” with “caliphate” galore is only the manufactured progression of going from empire's own stateless antediluvian actors playing their scripted “Taliban - Al Qaeda terrorist” role as public enemy number one of the United States and the civilized world, to stateful antediluvian actors playing their scripted “ISIS - terrorists' expansionist” role as public enemy number one of the United States and the civilized world. Twenty-first century barbarians...

“God is Great, Merciful, Vengeful, bla bla bla…” - by Gil Villagrán, MSW,
Murder for religion is as old as much of human history, including the ancient world and later the crusades to cleanse the "holy land" for Christians or from "infidels" aka Christians, depending on which religion is doing the killing and labeling. During the conquest of the western hemisphere by European missionaries--the choice was "accept Christ or be put to the sword." It is critical that humanity wake up from our illusion that there is but one god, one true faith, and that killing for rel...

Veterans Day - by Ted Rudow III, MA
Veterans Day As the nation commemorates Veterans Day, the rise in psychological trauma associated with the war in Iraq and Afghanistan should not surprise experts. The extent of wartime trauma is directly proportional to the type of warfare fought and the experiences encountered.

Flashback to 1995: Introducing the U.S.-Israel-Turkey-Jordan-Egypt alliance at Prime Minister Rabin’s funeral - by Cem Ertür
6 years before the launch of a genocidal, never-ending and ever-expanding “global war on terror” across Asia and Africa, the funeral of the assassinated “hero of peace” Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin proved to be an opportune moment to discreetly reveal an overt military alliance between U.S., Israel, Turkey, Jordan and Egypt against Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya and the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

Time for a New Detente Policy - by Sahra Wagenknecht
The past subordination under the US policy oriented to regime change and chaos in the Middle East must be ended. A diplomatic offensive to end the war in Syria on the path of negotiation with Russia is necessary. Since March 1999, NATO was expanded with a dozen countries. in Romania, the US began building a missile defense which Russia perceives as a threat. The clear rejection of a NATO that trusts in rearmament and global power demonstration is a prerequisite for a new detente policy.

"Pacific Pivot" Bully's cruise in South China Sea is a Pirate's PR trick - by DLi
Last week's US Navy sailing by a destroyer to within 12 miles of a Chinese artificial reef in the South China Sea was a PR cruise that got a principled but stern reaction by Beijing. The US Ambassador was called to the Foreign Ministry to receive a well-deserved warning that such provocative actions by Washington in the future will be met with stronger countermeasures. Interestingly, the US "corporate-bin-Laden" media omitted any mentioning of the diplomatic scolding suffered by the self-proc...
