Kate Kennedy, while a San Francisco grade school teacher, led the way to the landmark 1873 California legislation mandating equal pay for women and men in the field of public education.

Come hear the 40 minute version of Kennedy's story from historian and founder of Teachers with Whiteboards, David Giesen.

Teachers with whiteboards is a union of k-12 teachers who present fundamental economic concepts with nothing more than dry erase pens and a white surface. Why? Because you and your children deserve the civics education our schools' curricula leave out. Move over, H. Zinn, make room for DIYS civics educators!

Supper included, but RSVP required by 4:30 Tuesday (day of event).
