Preparation for 2017 Kwanzaa Celebration at the California State Capitol

A new generation celebrating Kwanzaa will see the benefit of reaching back to go forward in the spirit of Kwanzaa. I'm Living Kwanzaa, Kwanzaa Everyday is the melody and seed planted during the Golden Anniversary of Kwanzaa. From the John Burton Room of the California State Capitol the response to the message will be seen, globally.

Sacramento, California ~ Since the turn of the century, a small and dedicated few have answered the call and challenge from the ancestors and elders toward to restore Agriculture as the foundation of African Culture in the heart of the “Greatest Garden in the World.”

Our 2017 the theme is “I’m living Kwanzaa, Kwanzaa everyday” a beautiful melody that was introduced during the Golden Anniversary of Kwanzaa, a spiritual gift to our “California Grown” global celebration of the first fruits of the harvest.

H.E. Mathilde Mukantabana, Rwandan Ambassador to the United States of America challenges those celebrating Kwanzaa to make universal Pan African values and principles an everyday activity, mirroring the positive response by Rwandans in the aftermath of 1994 genocide in the heart of Africa.
The California Black Agriculture Working Group is poised to answer the challenge and continue building a broad based coalition focused on restoring agriculture as the foundation of our culture.

2017 California Ag Day, on the cusp of the Spring Equinox, we will celebrate Kwanzaa by showcasing Ancient Pan African Sacred Science of Agriculture with our unique “California Grown” style.

The contributions by people of African ancestry to the Great State of California since before the Gold Rush Era until today is poised toward reconsideration the way Honorable Mervyn M. Dymally suggested long ago. From the slopes of Mt. Shastina and Shasta to the foothills of the San Diego Mountains people of African ancestry have contributed to the forward flow of humanity.

I’m living Kwanzaa, Kwanzaa everyday… the Nguzo Saba is alive and living throughout the world... as first manifest long ago at the foot of the Mountains of the Moon in the heart of Africa.
