SEIU1021 Contra Costa Social Workers Fighting Poverty And Services For Workers and Poor
Over 1,000 SEIU 1021 Contra Costa social services workers struck on September 30, 2016 to protest the poverty wages and massive staff shortage. These interviews took place in Richmond.
Over a thousand SEIU 1021 Contra Costa social workers went out on strike on September 30, 2016 to fight poverty wages and also to demand full staffing in order to provide services for working class and poor people in the county. There is a massive shortage of staff and this has affected the workers and the children and poor who need food, housing and services. It has also led to the deaths of those who were in dire need of support.
