March for Richard Perkins — Man Slain by Oakland Police
On November 20th, 2015, several dozen people met up at the Fruitvale BART station to protest the recent killing of Richard Perkins by Oakland Police.
It was the second or third protest that took place this week.. on Tuesday about 100 students at Castlemont High school walked out in protest of the killing.. They marched over to the spot where 39-year-old Perkins was shot and then returned to class..
In the month of November police have shot and killed 50 citizens around the country.. So far 1012 people have been killed.. Perkins was the 1000th person killed by police and the 5th by OPD..
Police came out in full force last night..It appeared they were either running drills or simply wasting tax payer money with so much resources devoted to such a small crowd marching in the streets.. Here are some photos..
