Alleged public safety advocate misrepresents herself and her organizations
On October 22nd, 2015, Take Back Santa Cruz held a so called “Public Safety Forum” headlining "well known Public Safety Advocate” Lynne Brown. Looking into Ms. Brown and her organizations indicate she is profiting off misrepresentations.
Lynne Brown presents her organization “The Electric Blue Foundation (Coalition)” as a legal entity. To quote from its website, which includes a GoFundMe campaign.

“Since August of 2014, when a young man attacked a law enforcement officer in Ferguson, Missouri, and was killed in the struggle, there has been a war on America’s law enforcement profession. I will not name the young man in that case nor will I name the officer. But unless you’ve been living far outside civilization, you know the case I am referring to.
Several other cases have become fodder for the media, for people who make money off of conflict and for certain shameless politicians. According to these folks, it seems that every time a police officer, especially a white male police officer, shoots and kills or wounds a suspect, particularly a black suspect, the causative factor is that the officer is an abusive, racist, power-hungry individual bent on gunning down a black man (in front of witnesses who are undoubtedly filming the entire incident I might add). Of course, the popular narrative uses the word “allegedly” in reference to the suspect’s attempts to flee the officer, resist arrest or out-and-out attack the officer. But what is equally glaring is the absence of the word in reference to the officer’s actions. An officer’s right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law is being violated every day by our profound media, keyboard warriors and those with a grudge against all forms of authority.”
Ironically Ms. Brown takes in money, apparently for speaking and through this GoFundMe campaign, yet is not a lobbyist; her organizations are not legal entities. She seems to be profiting from excusing police brutality.
The Electric Blue Foundation which her LinkedIn page claims she founded is not registered with the California Secretary of State: it is neither a corporation nor a charity.
Advocates for Public Safety which her (other) LinkedIn page claims she founded is not registered with the California Secretary of State: it is neither a corporation nor a charity.
Lynne Brown is not registered with the California Secretary of State as a lobbyist.
My questions:
1. What exactly is Lynne Brown?
2. What is the Electric Blue Foundation?
3. What is Advocates for Public Safety?
The available information indicates Ms. Brown profits by public speaking, misrepresenting her organizations as legal entities which they are not.
