Listen Up Mayors~Humanity First~Demonstrations
On Friday June 19th “bay area community groups,” Codepink, Stop Mass Incarceration, Occupy SF Action Council, Anti Police-Terror Project, Jewitch Camp, the Green Party, and The World Can’t Wait gathered outside the Hilton in San Francisco to protest the presence of police chiefs from around the country during San Francisco’s Conference for Mayors.

The Conference for Mayors is being held in San Francisco this year. Many events will be held in San Francisco for this conference and all those events will be protested. The first few events included a “Creative Action by Code Pink,” which included a banner drop and a Hug-in, and Die-in on the street in front of the Hilton in San Francisco, where President Obama later spoke to the mayors and police chief’s inside.
The reason for the protests because many American citizen's feel their voices are NOT getting heard. The groups mentioned above, say the mayor's conference is attended by many corporate CEO's and executives, and not by ordinary citizens. The rallies this weekend will be held to demand that the mayor's of the United States, rebuild the infrastructure, PROTECT and EDUCATE the children, end police brutality, recognize that black and brown lives matter, house the homeless and feed the hungry, take control of corporate influence in politics, and fix the judicial system.
More events will be held all weekend. Listen Up Mayor's~Humanity First!~
