SEIU USWW Local 1877 San Francisco Park Merced Janitors Picket After Terminations

SEIU USWW Local 1871 janitors were terminated from their jobs by a new contractor at the Park Merced Project in San Francisco. They set up picket lines on April 14, 2015 while replacement workers were being signed up to take their jobs.

SEIU USWW Local 1877 janitors and handyman went on the picket line on Tuesday April 14, 2015 at Park Merced in San Francisco after the Park Merced management brought in a new contractor who refused to allow them to continue their jobs.
Many have been working for over 20 years at the large housing project and replacement workers are being brought into the complex to take their jobs. Also the senior residents are being forced out of their apartments which are being demolished.
