Iyad Burnat is the coordinator for weekly protests in Bil’in, a small farming community in the occupied West Bank. Every Friday for ten years, the people of Bil’in have nonviolently protested the confiscation of their land, and the destruction of their olive trees and livelihood. Iyad will describe his village’s ongoing struggle for human rights, justice and freedom in the face of Israeli occupation. Bil’in’s story is told in the acclaimed documentary Five Broken Cameras.
