May 2 Election Library Millage Ballot Intiative - Interview

In 2016 the Library will exhaust all of its reserve funds and will be unable to maintain the current level of service. The City Council has approved placing a proposition on the May 2, 2015, ballot asking voters if they support an increase in the amount of taxpayer funding the Library receives.

Shannan Cvitanovic from the New Orleans YMCA joined DJ Under The Bus in the studio March 15th, 2015 to discuss the upcoming May 2 election and the ballot initiative that would increase the millage for Libraries.

Shannon informed listeners about the many important and expanding services Libraries provide to residents that help many from falling through the cracks.
