Indigenous Elder expected to serve 2 jail sentences for the same so-called `crime'

by hawkfeather (randygaffer [at] yahoo.com)
The Alameda County DA's office, acting as proxy for the Dept. of Homeland[Fatherland?] Security, is subjecting a Native Elder to double jeopardy, to-wit, 2 jail terms for the same `offense'.
The cowboy and Indian wars continue unabated. A couple of years ago, Indigenous Elder and notorious Bay Area activist Zachary Runningwolf was arrested and charged with `vandalism' for painting the Peoples' Park stage. I thought Peoples' Park was all about user development, but there it is. About a year ago, the case finally went to trial, ZRW was convicted, and served a 45-day term in Santa Rita.

But the cowboys still aren't satisfied. Maybe it's because ZRW has successfully maintained an `Occupy 2 Decolonize' presence practically in the CHP's backyard in Oaktown for almost a year now. But at any rate, on the 13th of February, just before that provocateur-infested #FTP march started that evening, ZRW was arrested and re-charged with `vandalism' for the same stage-painting incident, along with the de rigeur 148PC [resisting arrest] charge thrown in for good measure. The arraignment hearing is for Mardi Gras day, Tuesday, Feb. 17th, at 9am in Dept. 104 at the Wile E. Coyote courthouse in downtown Oakland.

Call and\or e-mail the DA's office [510]272-622 | info [at] alcoda.org and\or The Office of Homeland Stoopidity [202]282-8495 | crcl [at] dhs.gov and demand they cease and desist from this cowboys and Indians game, b\c this time we're playing for keeps, and the cowboys are going to LOSE. A-ho.
