Out of the shadows comes so woman so beautiful, it is fatal. Our obsession is center frame and we are transfixed on the danger in her eyes. Love Struck, the struggle for power and love.

Amor Eterno Arte is proud to present Renee Castro in Love Struck, a solo art exhibition. Exploring the dangerous side of love, Renee is pushing her femme fatales to the edges. Mixed media paintings on paper bleed luscious color filled peonies that envelop her heroines in the battle of love. Axes, daggers and well worn weapons are adorned with fine line script and the eyes of her muse.

Renee Castro is a native to the Bay Area. Born in Oakland, her heritage stems from the Ohlone Native American tribe. Her background serves as inspiration for much of her art, especially her subjects' clothing and their deeply-rooted connections to the natural world. Her other influences for the work she creates include Mexican and Spanish folklore, broken-hearted femme fatales, disheveled muses, and erotic heroines.

Renee Castro is a long time member of the Amor Eterno Arte family. She not only has shown her artwork in the gallery many times but completed her tattoo apprenticeship with Chamuco. Please join us on February 7th to celebrate her work.
