La propia FDA (Food and Drug Administration) (el equivalente al Ministerio de Sanidad en EEUU) entiende que puede incitar al suicidio o suscitar ideas suicidas. En la web de la organización Citizens Comisión on Human Rights (ver web) puede leerse la decisión tomada por la FDA en junio del 2005:
