Rwandan political prisoner Victoire Ingabire's case for peace

by KPFA Weekend News/Ann Garrison
Rwandan political prisoner Victoire Ingabire challenged the simple account of the Rwandan Genocide that the world has been told for the past 20 years. She said that Hutu people were also killed, before, during and after the genocide, and that extremists on both sides must face the court. The International Criminal Tribunal on Rwanda tried only Hutu people, after Tutsi victors won the war. The simplified version of the Rwandan Genocide, like the Holocaust, has become justification for US was, invoked with phrases like "Never again!" and "Stop the next Rwanda!"
