The AFT/NEA Leadership Collusion With Privatizers & The Attack On Public Ed "Naked Class
The issue of privatization of education and the role of the AFT/NEA officials was the focus of this presentation by retired OEA teacher Jack Gerson made on October 18, 2014 at the United Public Workers For Action conference at CCSF.
Jack Gerson, a retired member of Oakland Education Association discusses the role of the AFT/NEA leadership in colluding with privatizers such as the Gates Foundation, Broad and Walton Foundation controlled by the owners of Walmart.
He looks at how charters and "high stakes testing" was introduced into public education with the close collaboration of top union officials of both the AFT and NEA.
This presentation was a segment of an educational conference on Privatization And The Attack on Public Education and Social Services at the City College Of San Francisco. It was sponsored by United Public Workers For Action UPWA.

Privatization and the attack on City College of San Francisco and the role of AFT 2121 which represents the faculty was the focus of a panel on October 18th as part of a conference on "The Attack on Public Education and Public Services" Speaks on this panel were Rick Baum lecturer at CCSF and a member of AFT 2121 and Bob Price CCSF Professor and AFT 2121 member and delegate to the San Francisco Labor Council. They discussed the role of the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, the administration and the politicians in the attack on the college.
