New Tool to Talk to Santa Cruz City Council
SANTA CRUZ (September 23, 2014) – The City of Santa Cruz is offering a new way to communicate with elected officials relating to specific items on the City Council meeting agenda.
The Agenda Comment feature is now available on the city website http://www.cityofsantacruz.com.
When visitors click on the City Council Meetings page and choose an agenda item, a Public Comment section will appear in the top right hand corner of the page where the Make a Comment button can be selected. Once submitted, the correspondence will be disseminated to the entire seven member City Council.
“We are excited to offer this new method to engage the community in important issues,” said Keith Sterling, the City’s Community Relations Manager. “With our residents’ busy schedules, this allows for a more convenient and streamlined way to directly reach our City Council.”
The Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 2:30 and 7 p.m. The current agenda packet is also available for reference use at the Downtown Branch Library. The meetings are broadcast live on Comcast Community TV, channel 25.
