As we near the one year anniversary of the murder of Andy Lopez, the community is organizing to have a strong presence at meetings and events throughout the county. Below is the list of all upcoming events. We encourage you all to come out and support the community as we remind the powers that be that we will not forget Andy Lopez. No Justice No Peace.

Remembering Andy-1 Year Later...what do you have to say?
Community gathering at the memorial site to share thoughts and feelings about Andy as we approach the 1 year anniversary of his death. Bilingual grief counselors and community support volunteers from St. Joseph's Health will be present to help facilitate and share, Open to all youth and adults.

An altar space has been reserved for Andy for Windsor DOD.
Wed. 15th meeting is to start preparing for the creation of the altars that will be put together on the 17th and 18th.

Community and Local Law Enforcement Task Force Meeting
The Full Task Force will be voting on supporting the Community Engagement and Healing Subcommittee’s motion to send a letter to the Board of Supervisors asking Sheriff Freitas to reconsider his decision of putting Deputy Gelhaus back on the streets. The community will demand that the Task Force do their job. The public is encouraged to come out and support this action.

Community will gather to sign up for open comments segment of the BOS meeting. We encourage the community to come out and use the allotted 3 minutes per person for public comments to demonstrate in silence or speak out on the eve of the 1 year anniversary of the killing of Andy Lopez. Signs and other materials will be provided.
