Oakland tenants - fighting back

by M. Hennings
Landlord intimidation and harassment
First, I would like to thank all of you who took the time to read my first article and/or share it with others. I really appreciate the support.

Second, I wanted to provide updates to my situation:

- I have finally obtained a stop work order for the balcony demo. Unfortunately, this showed up a week after the property management company had completed the demo.

- The property management company is now demanding access to my apartment to make 'necessay repairs' that I didn't actually ask them to make. They have posted 2 different notices, listing different repairs that made no sense. It appears to be more of an intimidation tactic than a legitimate entrance.

I expect that I will receive an eviction notice within the next 30-60 days.

Regardless of what happens, I will keep fighting this copmany, as I feel that their only goal is to buy up properties, and kick out tenants.
