NEW PODCAST!!!- feed://http://www.outfarpress.com/podcast.xml (128kb Highest Quality)

This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, Radio Havana Cuba, Spanish National Radio, and NHK World Radio Japan.
From GERMANY- Germany has a new anti-Euro party, the AFD, which made significant gains in last weekend's regional elections. The smartphone transportation application Uber Pop, which was banned in Germany several weeks ago, has been reinstated. The Ukraine Parliament has voted to give eastern separatist regions limited self-rule and amnesty for some members- Kiev also ratified an association agreement with the EU. Australia is set to deploy hundreds of soldiers and aircraft to support the US actions against Islamic State. Australia police arrested 15 people accused of planning jihadist actions in the largest police action in the country's history.
From SPAIN- Last week saw a massive pro-secessionist rally in Barcelona- the federal government restated that the referendum would be illegal. Prime Minister Rajoy spoke a day before the referendum in Scotland saying that EU countries might block admission of an independent Scotland to the Union. I am producing this show on the day of the Scottish referendum, so I don't know the outcome. A press review about the new Spanish abortion restrictions. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development announced new measures to prevent multinational corporations from hiding profits in tax havens. 30 countries attended the conference in Paris to take action against Islamic State- Spain has not decided on its role in the coalition.
From CUBA- Venezuela accused two men of planning terrorist actions across the country as part of a right-wing destabilization program. Canadian PM Harper announced the deployment of soldiers to Iraq. General Hayden, former head of the CIA, predicted that by December thousands of US soldiers would be involved on the ground in Syria. US anti-war protestors interrupted a Senate hearing on Tuesday.
From JAPAN- US forces are expanding airstrikes in Iraq. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov expressed concern over airstrikes in Syria without interaction with the Syrian government. Residents of Crimea have cast their first ballots in a Russian election. The US is involved in week long military exercises in waters near Guam, simulating all out battles at sea. The International Whaling Commission adopted a resolution that could delay more Japanese research whaling activities- the resolution is not legally binding.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via < http://www.kzyx.org >

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)

"So here we have it. The equivocating distinction between civilisation and savagery, between the "massacre of innocent people" or, if you like, "a clash of civilisations" and "collateral damage". The sophistry and fastidious algebra of infinite justice."
-- Arundhati Roy
