Calling for anti-capitalist bloc at the People's Climate March

by Some NYC @'s
On September 20, 2014, Bill McKibben's 350.org and a host of other Green NGOs are calling (
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/a-call-to-arms-an-invitation-to-demand-action-on-climate-change-20140521 ) for a massive march through New York City to demand "the world we know is within our reach: a world with an economy that works for people and the planet. A world safe from the ravages of climate change. A world with good jobs, clean air, and healthy communities for everyone."
They are expecting tens of thousands of people to arrive, and the current Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/events/301805359975258/) already has 5000 confirmed attendees with three months until the actual event.

While we stand completely opposed to the Green Capitalist alternative that these NGOs and politicians are demanding, we do not want to let this golden opportunity pass us to once again spread anarchy through New York Fucking City and beyond. If you would of told us 3 years ago that Adbusters Magazine's call to occupy Wall Street and produce one single coherent demand would be transformed into demand-less tent cities and months of unrest across most of the country, we would've mocked you openly. And yet with a extraordinary amount of anarchist intervention, we witnessed something unbelievable come to pass.

So. On September 20, we are quite simply calling for a large anti-capitalist bloc of the march to spread subversion and unrest throughout the City in ways that are as contagious and re-producable in the same way that pitching tents in parks was in 2011. Think creatively about what you and your crew can offer materially to such a project and come prepared to experiment. And to those of you west of us: please feel free to go apeshit as well.

"The future will only contain what we put into it now."

WHY are you assuming that many of the folks planning to do the climate action are PRO-capitalist?

Is this just the usual "if you aren't our allies in our preferred struggle then you are aligned with the enemy" nonsense?

The focus here is supposed to be the climate, the destruction of the environment. And to be sure, in places organized under capitalism being destroyed for capitalist reasons. But guess what, in places organized under socialism, for socialist reasons. The problem is industrial civilization, not whether that is capitalist industrial civilization or socialist industrial civilization.

A plague on both your houses. But do note, at least the capitalists don't appear to be trying to recruit those of us primarily concerned about the environment into their fight against you. Why are you doing it? By all means, wage your fight against capitalism but leave other (unrelated) struggles alone.
