UESF teachers and education workers took a strike vote at Washington high in San Francisco on August 14, 2014. The district management is refusing to increase their real income leaving many teachers with declining incomes.

Hundreds of San Francisco teachers and education workers who
are members of the United Educators of San Francisco UESF
took a strike vote at Washington High on August 14, 2014 after continued concession
demands by the SFUSD school management and Superintendent
Carranza. Teachers have had real income loses despite the massive
wealth of San Francisco with 27 billionaires.
