Occupy 2 Decolonize - Jerry Brown Attacks Sacred Site

by 2feather (parkguard [at] riseup.net)
Jerry Brown, the erstwhile `Gov. Moonbeam' who once provided sanctuary to Dennis Banks, attacks a Native American sacred space via state agencies

Jerry Brown continues to be the anti-Gov. Moonbeam. JB, who once provided sanctuary to AIM celebrity Dennis Banks when Banks was wanted by the FBI, is using the CHP and CalTrans to harass well-known activist and Native Elder Zachary Runningwolf and the site of Occupy 2 Decolonize, which Runningwolf founded, is located underneath I-580 between Martin Luther King Blvd. and Glen Echo Park, and is now approaching its 300th day of existence. The CHP regularly harasses Runningwolf and other houseless people at or near the site, and CalTrans, ostensiblty to DECREASE the fire hazard repeatedly sends its maintenance crews into the site to hack and weed-whack brush, withOUT clearing it away. which greatly INCREASES the risk of wildfire.

Now why would they be doing such a foolish thing, especially in the wake of all the already existing, out-of-control fires all around the state? It looks and smells too much like a setup, in this writer's opinion. Could it be that the Governor is a little upset over the long, interminable existence of Occupy 2 Decolonize, plus being forced to gve back the Cindy Sheehan banner which had been confiscated by the CHP?
