This briefing will examine whether Israel complies with U.S laws, such as the Arms Export Control Act and Foreign Assistance Act, and international law in its use of force against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip and West Bank, which includes East Jerusalem. Does Israel conduct thorough, credible, and transparent investigations into human rights violations? Is Israel capable of holding itself accountable? What actions should the United States take to hold Israel accountable for its violations of U.S. laws?

Through personal experience and professional expertise, members of the panel will address the extent to which Israel uphold its obligation to investigate human rights abuses and hold those responsible accountable.
