Shunning a Woman Candidate Shrinks a Political Party in Vermont

by Indy VT
The Republican Party in Vermont is shrinking,
and the reason is that Republican
party leaders shun women candidates.
emily_poster.jpg
Ms. Emily Peyton has been shunned.

She is not the first woman candidate, running as a Republican
in a primary, who this has happened to. It has happened
before, to a different woman in Vermont;
and the Republican party has been shrinking ever since.
Now, it will shrink more.

Ms. Emily Peyton collected hundreds and hundreds
of registered voter signatures to qualify to be on the
Republican Primary Election Ballot in Vermont
this August in the race for Governor.

Quite strangely, the Republican Party
in Vermont announced, repeatedly in the news,
that they would not support her candidacy.

They have not discouraged two men candidates who
also qualified for the Republican Primary for Governor
in Vermont, Scott Milne and Steve Berry.

Are the Republicans misogynists? Do they hate women?

Now, because of all of the negative publicity against
Ms. Emily Peyton, all of the Republicans who signed
her petition to put her on the ballot may feel that
their vote doesn't count. The Republicans who signed
Ms. Emily Peytons petition are being insulted by the
reigning powers in control of the Vermont Republican
Party, the relatively few people who run the Party.

Remember, hundreds and hundreds of people signed
Ms. Emily Peyton's petition, and there are only a small
handful of people in control of the Republican Party -
so the minority in control are telling hundreds of
Republicans that essentially, they are bad people
or fools or ignorant for signing Ms. Emily Peyton's
petition.

Clearly, the insults slung at Ms. Emily
Peyton by the leaders of the Vermont Republican
party prove that they are disenfranchising the hundreds
of Republicans who signed Peyton's petition; and
therefore, it is likely that those hundreds of people
may just quit the Republican Party because the
leaders are not listening to the people.

Therefore, the Republican Party in Vermont will
shrink.

Here are the news stories proving the Republican
Party in Vermont is treating Ms. Emily Peyton in
a different manner than they are treating the MEN
candidates:
