Deception Alert: Assembly Candidate Steve Glazer Tries to Fool Voters on Endorsements

Assembly candidate/political consultant Steve Glazer talks a lot about transparency in his campaign. But instead of being straight with voters, Glazer continues to deceive them about his endorsements and positions.

First, Steve Glazer sent out several mailers to Assembly District 16 voters implying the endorsement of Governor Jerry Brown. But the Governor has not endorsed Glazer, as the Governor made clear at the San Francisco Chronicle http://blog.sfgate.com/nov05election/2014/05/16/governor-will-not-endorse-in-contentious-labor-v-business-ad16-throwdownce/

Then Glazer backers sent out attack pieces on Democrat Tim Sbranti, saying he cut Dublin’s police (he didn’t). If that wasn’t enough deception for one mail piece, they used a photo from a stock photo house – not an officer from the district (perhaps because every law enforcement organization in the district is supporting Sbranti).

Also this week, Glazer is blanketing the district with a mail piece with a former staff member of the California League of Conservation Voters saying that Glazer is an environmentalist. The trouble with this one: Tim Sbranti, not Glazer, is endorsed by the California League of Conservation Voters (and the Sierra Club).
